My baby girl is 3!!! I love 3rd birthday's because it is the first birthday they actually understand what birthdays are all about. Lily was sooo excited to be 3, she would tell everyone she was having a birthday and was turning 3. We must have cake for breakfast on birthdays in our house... banana pancakes that is!
I asked Lily what kind of cake and party she wanted to have. She insisted on Jessie the cowgirl from Toy Story, who she loves! Easy enough I thought since Toy Story is huge and Jessie is a big deal. I started looking at store bought cake designs and realized only Woody and Buzz are licensed for bakeries. That wasn't going to fly for Lily. She was expecting Jessie! So I started looking online and came up with some super cute diy cowgirl birthday ideas. Party planning is not my thing, plus I had ZERO extra time for doing things myself for her party! I was busy training for the Komen 3-day and my husband was gone for 4 weeks with the National Guard. Not to mention running a business. Some how I did it! I made a 3 layered cake and frosted it! I dyed fondant black and rolled it out to make the black cow spots. I have never made a layered cake in my life.
Super yummy smore marshmallow pops, I will definitely make these again.
Can't believe my lil' bug is 3! She has turned into a sweet, sassy yet charming little girl.
